Our Story

The Heart Behind Churchwell Botanicals

Every company has a beginning. Ours begins with a woman named Peggy Jo Churchwell.

Meet Peggy Jo Churchwell

In March of 1965, seventeen-year-old Peggy Jo Churchwell proudly stepped onto the stage of the Miss Warner Robins Pageant. She was a student at Northside High School, known for her warm smile, quiet confidence, and talent in dramatic reading. Long before Churchwell Botanicals existed, there was simply a remarkable young woman with dreams, determination, and a heart that touched everyone she met. Today, her family name proudly appears on every product we create, reminding us that kindness, compassion, and character never go out of style.

A Legacy of Gentle Care

Many years after these photographs were taken, our family experienced firsthand how delicate and sensitive skin can become during life's most difficult moments. Watching Peggy's journey changed our perspective forever. It inspired us to create skincare with a different philosophy.

No exaggerated promises.
No complicated routines.
Simply thoughtful botanical ingredients, carefully selected and crafted for people whose skin deserves comfort, kindness, and respect.

Every jar carries more than a family name. It carries a promise to treat every customer with the same care, compassion, and respect we would offer someone we love.

❤️ She didn't create Churchwell Botanicals.

She inspired the people who did.

Some people are remembered for the things they accomplished. Others are remembered for the way they made people feel. Peggy Jo Churchwell had a gift for making others feel welcome. She laughed easily, loved deeply, and believed that kindness was never wasted. The values that shaped her life continue to shape ours. Every decision we make, every product we create, and every person we serve is guided by the hope that a little compassion can still make a difference.

Peggy and Bruce Williams

A Lifetime of Love

Peggy married Bruce Williams, and together they built a life centered around family, friendship, laughter, and unwavering love. For more than four decades they shared ordinary moments that, over time, became life's greatest treasures. Their story reminds us that a meaningful life is rarely measured by extraordinary events. It is measured by the people we love, the memories we create, and the kindness we leave behind.

Churchwell was where her story began.
Williams was where so many beautiful chapters were written.

Churchwell Botanicals carries the name she was born with, but it also carries the lessons she lived every day. To care for others. To find joy whenever possible. And to leave the world a little better than we found it.

The Story Behind Churchwell

Churchwell Botanicals was never created to become just another skincare company. It was built upon the lives of two remarkable people whose quiet example shaped our family long before this company ever existed. Like countless American military families, they served wherever duty called, raised a family through years of sacrifice, perseverance, and unconditional love. These photographs are not displayed as awards. They are reminders of where we came from and the values that continue to guide Churchwell Botanicals every single day.

Peggy J. Williams

Peggy's journey reminds us that life's greatest chapters are often the ones we never expect. From a young pageant queen to retiring after supporting the Predator Program and the internationally respected RED FLAG exercises at Nellis Air Force Base, her life reflected quiet strength, kindness, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to family. Her work was seldom seen, but its importance never depended upon recognition. She remains the inspiration behind the name Churchwell Botanicals and the compassion that continues to shape everything we create.

Lt. Col. Bruce M. Williams

Bruce dedicated his career to the United States Air Force, eventually retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Military life carried our family across states, overseas, and into communities we never imagined calling home. His leadership, integrity, discipline, and quiet humility became everyday lessons for our family. The folded American flag represents more than a military career. It represents a lifetime devoted to service, family, country, and those privileged to serve beside him.

"The products we create are only part of our story. The values behind them are our true legacy."

Dedicated with love and gratitude to Peggy J. Williams and Lt. Col. Bruce M. Williams, whose lives of service continue to inspire the heart of Churchwell Botanicals. May their legacy, and the legacy of countless military families who quietly served beside them, never be forgotten.

🎀 A Mission Close To Our Hearts

Behind every cancer diagnosis is a person... and behind every person is a family that hopes, prays, and never stops believing.

Cancer has touched millions of lives around the world. Every family's journey is different, yet the emotions are often the same: hope, courage, uncertainty, resilience, and love. Like millions of families around the world, ours has walked that road too. Peggy Jo Churchwell was one of millions of remarkable people whose strength continues to inspire those around them. While her story helped inspire Churchwell Botanicals, our mission reaches far beyond one family.

❤️ We cannot change every journey.
But we can choose to walk beside those who are traveling it.

Our Hope Is Simple.

To create products with care.
To treat every customer with kindness.
To keep learning.
To keep improving.
To honor every family whose journey inspires us.

🎀 For Peggy.
🎀 For Every Survivor.
🎀 For Every Fighter.
🎀 For Every Caregiver.
🎀 For Every Family.

Why We Honor Both Names

People occasionally ask why our company is called Churchwell Botanicals instead of Williams Botanicals.

The answer is simple. We weren't choosing between two names. We were choosing how best to honor the remarkable woman whose life continues to inspire this company.

We chose Churchwell because it was where her story began. It was the family name she was born with, the name that shaped her roots, and the name that connects generations of family before her.

Williams will always be part of her story.
Churchwell is the legacy we carry forward.

🌿 Inspired By Tradition

Sometimes the most meaningful journeys begin with an unexpected friendship.

Through Kenza Tahiri born in Morocco, but living in Tampa, Florida , we were introduced to a traditional Moroccan botanical soap recipe that had been passed from one generation to the next for many years.

Rather than simply copying an old recipe, we spent years learning, experimenting, and carefully reformulating it using our own philosophy, ingredients, and standards. The result is a product that respects its inspiration while becoming something uniquely our own.

Churchwell Botanicals is not a Moroccan skincare company. We are a family company inspired by Peggy Jo Churchwell and grateful to Kenza Tahiri for opening the door to botanical traditions that helped shape our journey.

🌿 We honor tradition.
We never stop improving it.
